Personal and health information is stored using professional practice management and other service providers selected to support secure service delivery. Access is limited to authorised persons and appropriate technical and organisational safeguards are used.

AI-assisted documentation tools may be used to support the preparation of consultation records.
When such a tool is used, audio from the consultation may be temporarily processed for the purpose of transcription and generating documentation. The AI tool does not replace professional judgement, and AI-assisted documentation is reviewed by the practitioner.
Mariko’s Wellness currently uses an AI documentation provider that states that patient audio is not permanently retained and that patient health information is not used to train, develop or improve its AI models.
You may decline or withdraw consent to the use of AI-assisted documentation without affecting your access to our services.

Mariko’s Wellness uses selected third-party service providers to support functions such as practice management, secure communication, AI-assisted documentation, website hosting, analytics and advertising measurement.
Only information reasonably necessary for the relevant service is provided or processed. Some providers may process information outside Australia. Where health information is involved, providers are selected with consideration to privacy, security and applicable Australian privacy requirements.

Client records are retained for a minimum of 7 years. Records relating to clients under 18 years of age are retained at least until the client reaches 25 years of age.
Information that is no longer required is deleted or de-identified where appropriate, subject to applicable professional and legal requirements.
